The United States Marine Corps is a faction in World War 3: Sinister Operations. They're seen combating the Bhutanese cyborg army, the Iron Hand and the Korean People's Army during various major conflicts in the novel.
World War 3[]
In World War 3: Sinister Operations, the United States Marines are deployed to New York City during Operation Grendel. However, they're unaware of the enemy they're facing and they're totally unprepared for what they discover; they find that the Iron Hand and the Inner Light have teamed up with the Korean People's Army in an attempt to destroy the United States government, creating a "second American civil war", although other people call it "Korean-American War". They're seen first in a submarine, which was tasked with sending the Marines into New York City.
However, their stealthy insertion backfires horrendously when their cover is blown by the Iron Hand, which destroy their submarine and massacre nearly everybody on board. However, some survive-only to be killed off by the Iron Hand as they and the Inner Light "eliminate" New York's local law enforcement, as well as the US Army, and take over as the new enforcers of martial law over New York-at least until the surviving Marines team up with the Special Forces Operations Detachment-Delta (Delta Force) and replace the Iron Hand as enforcers of martial law, although they try to fight back to regain their position as dominance.
